Even a Blind Squirrel Finds a Nut....

Thanks again for the pictures, Chris.

While watching my usual after-gym show, I had a realization. It would suck to be Tiger Woods.....not. But seriously, it would suck to be blind. Worse even if you could see before and then became blind. Here are some things that flashed through my mind as I pondered:

1. You could never skydive. The dog would be scared to death.

2. You'd have a valid excuse for running stop signs.

3. Your favorite color would be corduroy.

4. Your favorite song? Corey Heart's "Sunglasses at Night"

5. The first warm, spring day on KU campus would not be the same.

6. Blind dates?

7. My golf game would likely improve.

8. The Benzo CLS would be just another car.

9. Miranda Kerr would not dominate my dreams.

10. Career Path? Big 12 referee.

The Front Fell Off

More of my brother's (Chris Mandrick) awesome photography.

Talar du Svenska?

I can now say...

"Ja, lite grann. "

Instead of ...

"Nej, inte alls."

Other languages im trying to mangle? Greek and Spanish. Wish me luck.

Rando Fact - Cows can walk up stairs but not down them. Point? Avoid the upstairs "VIP" section of your local club.

sång - "I Wonder" - Kanye West

Great to listen to if you have just..... slayed Goliath, caught a squirrel, beaten Mike on "Punch Out", gambled and won or dominated something.

Engineering humor. Pretty dry.

Good Pics and Taxes?

Allow me to pimp my brother's incredible photography for a moment.

Thanks.

There will be plenty more.

I just did my taxes the other weekend. Phew. Excuse me while I rant.

Who in the hell thought of the idea to take 27% of MY money before I can even argue otherwise? I work hard. Kinda. I enjoy the money I get. I'd enjoy getting a little bit more of the money that I'm paid.

I honestly don't mind the idea of chipping in a little to help with roads, military, education blah blah blah. In theory, its genius. In reality, it sucks. Increasing tax % with higher incomes is retarded. Why "punish" those who make more? It takes away the impetus to succeed.

And another thing... how many politicians have to get caught "making mistakes" on their taxes until it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that they don't pay what we do?

16 days till they put my check in the mail? Crap. I need that money for important stuff...like...well.... buying peanut butter that doesn't have good ole salmonella flavoring.

Mike Rowe is brilliant. Quite funny too.

music - "Pets" - Porno for Pyros

I heard this song while out last night and had a 90's flashback. Couldn't name it. Neither could anyone at the table. Solution? Midomi for the iPhone. If only MacGyver had an iPhone...

Not in Kansas...Yet

Sunday morning TV sucks. Currently, my choices are "Cardio with Gilad" and "From 'G' to Gentleman". It could drive a man to drink (or blog).

Rock Chalk!

A W is a W.

What an ugly win... like last Monday's debacle, there were a lot of turnovers, few rebounds and a hostile crowd. Woof.

This commercial helped me realize that "it may be time".

great music = "B*****s Ain't S**t" - Ben Fold Featuring Mr. Reynolds and lin-Z

Greetings!

Hi. I'm Colin.

So much for awkward introductions.

Want some advice? If you plan to resign from your job, don't wait till everyone leaves for the weekend. I hope Umberto the janitor relays to HR that I might be scarce in about two weeks. So much for engineering (and the 5.5 years of over-priced education).

I don't know what to tell you to expect in the coming days/weeks/months but like all things, I'm sure this will evolve. Brace yourself for some ramblings, bad advice, good music and laughter (hopefully).

Song o' the day: Coldplay - Lost+ (Jay-Z)
